He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Janice Burris Welch; grandparents: Ernest and Daisy Messer; sons: Steve (Leigh) Welch and Mike (Donna) Welch; grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Will) Smarr, Valerie Hammond, Todd Welch, Mackenzie Welch, Bradley Welch, Steven (Kelley Wilder) Welch, Jordan Welch, Colbey Therrell and Brantley Therrell; great grandchildren: Cambree Welch, Maddox Welch, Lailynn Hammond and Blaze Hammond; and many extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel (2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Encounter Fellowship (1107 Mt Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Forrest Hills Cemetery.
