She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pressley Slaton and Louise Barton Slaton; her brother Bill Slaton; her grandson Eric; her granddaughter-in-law Abby; and her grandson Alex.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Danny Mitchum; her daughters, Dana Moree (Bryan) and Lynn Mitchum; and her sister Carol Julian.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Lakewood Baptist Church (3520 Mt Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Harriett to Gentiva Hospice, 223 South Herlong Ave, Rock Hill, SC.
