He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Calvin Murphy and Frankie Sue Beeks Murphy; and his brothers, William C. Murphy, Robert Allen Murphy and Walter Daniel Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kennington Murphy; his children, Jason Murphy (Malinda) and Julie Mullis (Jeff); his grandchildren, Logan Connelly (Cameron), Kent Murphy, Landis Beck and Kyle Murphy; his great grandchildren, Presleigh and Paxton Connelly; his siblings, Rhoda Lee Murphy Byrd and James A. Murphy (Barbara); and his sisters-in-law, Celeste Murphy, Sarah Murphy and Betty Murphy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Eastside Baptist Church (318 N Jones Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
