She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Bishop and Evelyn Rayburn; her husband William H McDermet; her brothers, Robert Bishop, Chester Bishop, Al Rayburn and Lee Rayburn; and her half-sister Geraldine Corley (Gerry).
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Roberts (Randell) of Mooresville, NC and William Todd McDermet (Dianna) of Tega Cay, SC; her grandchildren, Whitney Roberts Pacini (Michael) of Denver, CO, Dylan Roberts (Andi) of Charlotte, NC, Joshua Essman (Amanda) of Fort Mill, SC and Matthew Essman of Crown Point, IN.; and her great grandchildren, Asher Essman, Trenton Essman and JT Pierson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knoxville Cemetery North Market.
