She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell "Pete" Shorkey and Rosemary Shorkey. She is survived by: her close friend John Everett; her husband Karl Koons III; her daughters, Laurie Lachimia (Daniel) of York, SC and Kristen Barrick (Douglas) of Duncannon, PA; her sisters, Patricia Schroeder (Paul) and Kathy Ott (late Mel); and her grandchildren, Daniel Lachimia, Vincent Lachimia (Angelica), Cassidy Lachimia, Tori Nash (Joshua), Emily Barrick and Samuel Barrick. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
