He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver Dellinger and Emma Irene Porter Dellinger; his wife Linda Ellen Sellars Dellinger; his son David Burns Dellinger; his siblings, Earl Emmanuel Dellinger, James Hunter Dellinger, Paul Eugene Dellinger, Herbert Boyce "Red" Dellinger and Emma Corrine McDowell; and his grandsons, John David Dellinger and William Jarrett Dellinger.
He is survived by: his children, John C. Dellinger (Lynda Reid) and Lori Whisonant (Jeff); his siblings, David Dellinger (Linda), Myra Little (Linwood) and Darlene Bigger (George); his grandchildren, Erica Ballard (Nick), Amber Thrower, Bethany Dellinger, John Dellinger (Rachel) and Megan Whisonant (Will); his great grandchildren, Ava, Brynn Arbor, Kam, Parks, Kyleigh, Bentley, Max, Mia, Serenity, Harleigh, Zoe, Atlee and Zach; and his cousin Jewel Conard (Tebow).
