He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl Sherer, Sr. and Kally Lou Nell Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Simmons Sherer; his children, Denise Owens (Dee), Deborah McKone (Debbie) and Joseph E. Sherer III (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Phillip B. Owens (Erin), Aaron McKone, Chelsie Sherer Williams (Chase), June Sherer, Joseph E. Sherer IV (Joey), Isabella Sherer (Bella) and Sophie Sherer; his stepdaughters, Rose Daigle (Steve), Beth Elkins (Charles) and Katie Cochran (Bo); and his stepgrandchildren, Sam Daigle, Jake Daigle, Wells Elkins, Kate Elkins and Anderson Cochran. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
