He is survived by: his wife Theresa Mele Hughes; his daughters, Joy and Colleen; his siblings, James Hughes (Barbara), Annette Wands (Charles), Karen McKay (Richard Clark), John Hughes (Mary), Mary Anne Hughes, Timothy Hughes (Theresa), Martin Hughes (Mary), William Hughes (Joan) and Thomas Hughes (Fawn); his grandchildren, Becky, Patrick and Audrey; and his sister-in-law Carolee Hughes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
