He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Tunney Phillips and Evelyn Conklin Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Phillips; his children, Erica Taylor (Chris) and Rob Phillips; his grandchildren, Austin Taylor (Pressley), Eric Taylor (Macy) and Logan Taylor (Nikki); and his aunt Ruth Cole (Marvin) of Burlington, NC.
