She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest W. Nicholas; her parents, John Henry McCarty and Betty Jane Stocker McCarty; her brother Robert Allen McCarty; Robert McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her children, Christpher Thomas McLaughlin of Cumberland, MD and Crystal Kay McLaughlin; her brothers, John McCarty (Barbara), David Lee Frederick, Sr. (Darlene) and Donald Frederick (Pat); and her grandchildren, Alyssa Marie McLaughlin, Mark Raymond McLaughlin and Jayce Tyler McLaughlin.
