He was predeceased by: his parents, Grier McGuire and Ollie Thornwell Perry McGuire; his son Edward "Eddie" Downs McGuire; and his brothers, Jerry McGuire and Frank McGuire (Tommy McGuire).
He is survived by: his wife Susie Passmore McGuire; his daughters, Terry McGuire Roddey (Ron) and Robin McGuire-Gill (Ken Hunt); his stepsons, Tim Wallace (Anissa), Scott Wallace (Julie) and Michael Wallace; and his granddaughters, Suzanne Slaughter, Becky Matthews, Charity Turbeville (Everett) and Anna Gill. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 10 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
