She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester James Sanders and Lois Parker Hatcher; and her siblings, Lester Sanders, Jr., Tony Sanders, Mildred Deese and Ann Patrick.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Capitan; her children, John V. Edwards, II, Sherry E. Tucker (Mark) and Rhonda E. Smith (Chuck); her sister Christine Brunett; her grandchildren, Mark Tucker II (Lindsey), Erica Adkins (Mitch), Madison Merritt (Brandon), Hayley Mayfield (Shelby) and Chipper Smith; and her great grandchildren, Piper Merritt, Skylar Merritt, Brandon Merritt, Iris Merritt, Bella Mayfield, Rose Mayfield, Owen Mayfield, Devin Mayfield, Case Adkins, Lyle Adkins, Lillian Tucker and Nora Tucker.
