She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Steele and Gertrude Steele; her husband Johnny Shoemake; and her siblings, Pat Hindman, Ricky Steele and Louann Steele.

She is survived by: her daughters, Crystal Gillelan (Mike) of Rock Hill and Kayla Knopf (Kenny) of Rock Hill; her siblings, Michael Steele of Union, Danny Steele of Illinois and Kathy Crawford of Pelion; her niece Patty Rumsey of Lancaster; and her grandchildren, Taylor Shoemake, Jareth, Hailey Gillelan, Cole, Tripp and Mason Knopf. She is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in memory of Robbie J. Shoemake to Richardson Rescue in York, South Carolina, or to City Hope Church.
