He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Bell Welch-White and Hinton Welch; and his siblings, Thelma Welch-Durham, Peggy Welch-Hundley, Cleveland Welch, Grover Welch, Harold Welch, Hinton Welch Jr. and David Welch.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Welch (Cherish) of California, Robert Neil Welch of Maryland, Hope Thompson of Rock Hill and Reginald Welch (Quanna) of Blythewood; his grandchildren, Keya, Zarria Welch of Blythewood and Noah Welch of California; and his siblings, Willie Mae Pryor of Hempstead, Barbara Neely of Rock Hill and Queen Freeman of Rock Hill. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home of Rock Hill (534 Hampton St, Rock Hill, SC 29730). Viewing will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Red Oak A. M. E. Zion Church (4415 Edgeland Rd, Edgemoor, SC 29712). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at the same location.
