He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman David Nichols, Sr. and Naomi Mosteller Nichols; and his sisters, Doris McAteer and Nancy Bagley. He is survived by: his siblings, Isaac Nichols (Fran), Juanita Combs, Louise Kneisley, Harry Nichols and Furman Nichols, Jr. (Rebecca); and his niece Amanda Garvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roy's memory to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
