He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Carter and Eura Phillips Carter; and his wife Jessie Gaston Carter. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas B. Carter, Jr. (Alice) of Las Vegas, NV and James "Jimmy" Carter (Glenna) of Moncks Corner, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
