He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Carter Sr. and Mary Jane Thomas Carter; and his brother James Donald Carter Jr. (Donnie). He is survived by: his wife Linda; and his daughters, Rachel, Katherine (Kate) and Georgie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service (1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203). A prayer will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
