Though Vera Shawkey may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vera Shawkey leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Russell and Ruth Erma Shawkey; and her siblings, Rita Dye and Dallas Shawkey. She is survived by: her husband Howard; and her children, Lucinda Shaw (Gary), Howard S. George III (Lisa) of Drexel Hill, PA and Benjamin R. George (Kate) of Etowah, NC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
