With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Thompson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Clover, South Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roland Williams and Viola Strickland Williams; her husbands, Carl Eric Caudle and Joseph N. Thompson, Jr.; her granddaughters, Tonya Sue Self and Hayley Elizabeth Caudle; and her siblings, Jimmy Williams, Dorothy Carter and Elaine Trull.

She is survived by: her children, David Caudle, Steve Caudle (Jane), Brenda Self (Harvey), Terry Caudle (Terry), Randy Caudle, Darryl Caudle, Tony Lee Caudle (Laurie), Danny Thompson (Vickie), Gerald Thompson (Tammy) and Brian Thompson (Lauran); and her sisters, Lucille Bryant, Genny Cook and Debbie Beacham. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Thompson's name to Forward Church of God, 1599 Glasscock Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
