He was predeceased by: his birth mother Betty Southers; and his sister Jacqueline Sue Southers. He is survived by: his wife Doris Southers; his daughters, Jackie Gaines (Dan) and Tammy Lancaster (Brian); his grandchildren, Brittany Wolfe (Nick), Jessi Plunkett (Jordan), Charlee Bowyer (Kade) and Coleman Lancaster; his great grandchildren, Evie, Jolie, Cooper, Harvey and Stewart; his parents, Jack Southers and June Southers; his siblings, Mike Southers (Denise), Jane Dearman and Carolyn Simmerman (Mickey); and his aunt Lucy Weiner.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Roebuck Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes that were close to his heart.
