It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Eugene Satterfield of Roebuck, South Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Douglas shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Douglas farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard B Satterfield and Bertha Nelms Satterfield; his wife Virginia Wingo Satterfield; and his son Michael Douglas Satterfield. He is survived by: his children, Julie S Elder (Steven) of Lyman, SC and Stephen Eugene Satterfield of Roebuck, SC; his granddaughters, Mackenzie Visage (Chris) of Greer, SC and Sydney Alexis Elder of Charleston, SC; and his great grandchild Harper James Visage.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wren Hospice or Brookstone Terrace of Woodruff.
