He was predeceased by: his parents, Loran Frederick and Pearly Jane Garrett (Miller); his spouse Shirley Ann Garrett; his son Allen Garrett; and his brothers, William "Dub" and Fred Garrett.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Henderson (Craig); his grandchildren, Michael Garrett (Amy), Christi Dunlap (Jeremy), Isaac Henderson (Sydney) and Michelle Garrett; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Reagan, Peyton, Harper, Paisley, Cane, Hali and Hadley; and his sisters, Carolyn Easler and Josie McKeown.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local American Legion Post.
