It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert Houston Gossett (Roebuck, South Carolina), who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo Gossett and Elizabeth Gossett; his wife Patricia Painter Gossett; and his siblings, Jay Gossett, Dewey Gossett, Junior Gossett, Jeanette Lynch and Helen Ravan.

He is survived by : his daughters, Kim Philbeck (Deno) of Gaffney, SC, Tammy Graves (Danny) of Rowley, MA and Amy Penfield (Les) of Blythewood, SC; his grandchildren, Matt Gentry, Sam Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Daniel Graves, Rebecca Coccia, Landon Penfield and Cooper Penfield; and his sisters, Betty Jo Lee and Minnie Pearl Mathis. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
