He was predeceased by : his father Charles Bailus Shipman; his grandparents, Horace "Red", Pearl Shipman, Clyde and Mary Lou Alley; his mother-in-law Lora D. Palmer; and his brother-in-law V. Gene Boddiford.
He is survived by : his wife Wanda Palmer Shipman; his mother Evelyn Shipman of Chesnee; his siblings, Jerry (Karen) of Moore and Linda Jennings of Chesnee; his aunt Carolyn Watts Owens of Roebuck; his father-in-law Harold Palmer (Annette) of Brewton; his sister-in-law Elaine of Wing; and his close friends, Nathaniel, Fay Bradley and Barbara Nelson. He is also survived by six nieces and eight nephews, eight great nieces and seven great-nephews.
