She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Martin Gowan; her parents, Mary McGuffin Gwinn and James Ladson Gwinn; and her sister Carolyn Jarrett (late Harold Martin Gowan). She is survived by: her son Dennis Gowan (Susan) of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Allison Baucom (Joe) and Nathan Gowan (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Ellie, Sawyer, Margot, Bo and Rosamund; Donald and Brenda Bishop.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
