He is survived by: his wife Ann Stone Brown Ray; his daughters, Vickie Ray Fowler, Jennifer Ray Ingle (Brad) and Amanda Ray Budak; his stepdaughter Leigh Taylor; his grandchildren, Joe Fowler, Jake Fowler, Glenna Jane Thomas and Olivia Jane Budak; and his stepgranddaughters, Suzanne Taylor and Hannah Taylor.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Floyd Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
