He is survived by: his wife Jenny Mae Thompson; his children, Willie Dean Thompson, Jr. of Landrum, SC and Stephanie Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC; his siblings, Mary Long of Spartanburg, SC, Alice Jackson (David) of Chesnee, SC, Roberta Thompson of Chesnee, SC, Jaunita Thompson (Howard Gentry) of Greer, SC and James Henry Thompson of Inman, SC; his grandchildren, Kingston Gassaway, Arianna Gassaway, Aaron Gassaway, Kera Thompson and Ezyiion Thompson; his niece Chrystal McDowell (Kenneth); and his cousins, William Melvin (Emma Blomquist) and Nicholas Melvin.
