It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Barrett of Ruffin, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mae Mitchum Volk and J. O. Barrett. He is survived by : his wife Janice Cummings Barrett; his children, Christina Leopard (Allen) of Warrenville, James "Jimbo" Barrett, II of Augusta, Joseph Barrett (Victoria) of Pendelton and Jacob Barrett of Pendelton; his siblings, Michael Barrett (Mary Ann), Debbie Wallace (Bill) and Susan Shiver (Billy); and his grandchildren, Destanie, Tanner, Xavier, Myles, Erica, Olivia and Vivienne.
