She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Larry McGrew, Sr.; and her parents, Luther Darnell and Effie Smith Darnell. She is survived by: her children, Samuel McGrew, II and Peggy Jo Litchfield (Ricky); and her grandsons, Marshall, James Ramsey, Patrick Clifton, Rick Litchfield and Bryan Bucci.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church (110 Reed St, St George, SC 29477).
