Jimmy R. Ayers Obituary

Jimmy Ray Ayers, 62, of St. George, SC, a former construction superintendent for CPI, died Friday evening at his residence.

His funeral will be 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until the hour of service on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorials be made to the Colleton County High School Athletic Department, 150 Cougar Nation Dr., Walterboro, SC 29488.

Mr. Ayers was born August 27, 1962, in Williamsburg County, SC, a son of Eugene Marion Ayers and Alva Lee Parker Ayers. He enjoyed fishing but especially loved hunting whether it be deer, rabbits, or squirrel. He was an avid Clemson fan and a big jokester, but what he enjoyed the most was watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Gill, and two brothers, Allen Ayers and Ronald Ayers. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will always be loved and never forgotten!

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Angela Infinger Ayers; a daughter, Ashley Ayers Bowers and her husband, Joshua, of Walterboro; three sisters, Linda Phillips and her husband, Teddy, of Pineville, Debbie Dantzler of Grover, and Joanne Legare and her husband, Glen, of Moncks Corner; a half brother, Donald Parker of Florida; four grandchildren, Trestan Ayers, Valentina Furman, Abby Bowers, and Sharon Bowers; and two great grandchildren, Colton and Clayton.
