It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Simon of Saint George, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Simon and Annie Rell Walker Simon. She is survived by: her children, LeGrand Simon (Mae) of Bowman, SC, Judy S. Boyd of St. George, SC, Julius Simon (Regina) of Bowman, SC and Venzaree Simon (Veron) of Charleston, SC; her sister Cherry Bell Simon of Bowman, SC; and her friends, Shelia Simon, Annie Ruth Cato, Ida Simon, Mary Kitt Thompson, Cherry Pelzer, Denise Harrison, Marilyn Seals, Christine Hodges, Voila Cobbs, Mary Elmore, Geneva Pendergrass, Loretta Neals, Cassandra Middleton, Leonard Yates and Russell Simon. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
