Solon Dobbs Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Solon Dobbs of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Solon departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Solon may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Solon leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Brondle and Celia Katherine Dobbs (Key). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Dobbs, Stanley Dobbs (Billie Jo Havlik), Ronald Dobbs (Barbara Bolch) and Cynthia Dobbs-Poole; and his siblings, Betty Stival of Fayetteville, Arkansas., Joan Robson of Bella Vista and William D Dobbs. He is also survived by 4 kids and 6 grandkids.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Behind the Cemetery. The military honors will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
Flowers are welcomed, and can be sent to 10 Moorer Rd, SC 29920, or In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
