Douglas Rucker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Rucker of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, who passed away on June 25, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Douglas Rucker to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ester Rucker and Flaxie Rast Rucker; his wife Emily Gressette Rucker; and his siblings, Charley Rucker, Ollie Mae Snyder and Aline Rhame.

He is survived by: his children, Marggi Seales (Jamie) of Chapin, Randy Rucker (Susan) of Saint Matthews and Doug Rucker (Julie) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Charlie Rucker; and his sisters, Peggy Garvin of Columbia, Roberta Doyle of Georgia, Lucille Harmon of North Augusta and Viola Kirven of Texas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (1410 Bridge St, St Matthews, SC 29135). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Falls Volunteer Fire Department, 602 River Falls Road, Marietta, SC 29661.
