Elizabeth Gibbs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Elizabeth Gibbs of Saint Matthews, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hampton Hicklin Sr. and Marian Pendarvis Hicklin. She is survived by: her husband James Alan Gibbs (Jim); her children, Linwood D. Hair III (Laura) and Kristen Elizabeth Hildebrand; her grandchildren, Landon, Laney Hair, Nathan, Logan, Addison Hildebrand and Karson Gibbs; her siblings, Winnie Rickenbaker (Don) and Robert Hicklin Jr.; and her aunt Rene Pendarvis Johnson.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1410 Bridge St, St Matthews, SC 29135). Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Due to Elizabeth's love of the Morris Island Lighthouse, the family suggests memorials be made to Save the Light, Inc., P.O. Box 106, Folly Beach, SC 29439.
