Annette H. Kitagawa Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Annette H. Kitagawa of Saint Stephen, South Carolina. Annette, born on April 20, 1934, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Hegeman and Annetta Smires Dunbar; her husband Van Shigeto Kitagawa; her daughter Christina Stika; and her siblings, Rosa Lee Lewis, Florence Jennie Murphy Hegeman, Raymond Hegeman and Winfred Hageman.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Norris of St. Stephen, Karyn Phillips of Moncks Corner, Van Kitagawa (Jean) of Alaska, Kent Kitagawa (Elisabeth) of Hawaii, Keith Stika (Shirley) of Goose Creek, Kevin Stika (Catherine) of Jacksonville, FL, Kenneth Stika (Carrie) of Goose Creek, Leon Kitagawa of Alaska and Gary Kitagawa of Texas; her close friend Barbara Irby; and her pets, Binx and Ginger. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church (2346 US-17 ALT, Bonneau, SC 29431).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2346 US 17-A, Bonneau, SC 29431.
