She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wheeler McMakin and Alma Keller McMakin; and her spouse Gadson Hood. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia H. Russell (John) of Russellville, Sheryl H. Shillinglaw (Tracy) of St. Stephen and Jeffrey G. Hood of St. Stephen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one more great-grandchild.
