He was predeceased by: his father Rev William Harold Broome. He is survived by: his mother Martha Fowler Broome; his wife Pamela Rollings Broome; his children, Rhett Broome (Cyndi), Lauren Gott (Travis), Shari Stepanov and William Broome (Kristen); his grandson Luke Gott; his stepgrandchildren, Col. Patrick Southerland (Marianne) and Heather Ridgeway (Charlie); and his sisters, Brenda Morgan (Fred Sr.) and Cynthia Wadford (Willie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Due to COVID-19 the family requests masks be worn, and social distancing be observed at the visitation.
