Kurtis Lloyd Williams Obituary
Salem, SC - Kurtis Lloyd Williams, 60, our beloved husband, father, brother, coach, doctor and friend, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family as he went into the arms of Jesus.
Kurt was born in Orlando, Florida on September 25, 1964. He was the son of Jack and the late Peggy Williams. Kurt met and married his best friend, Melissa, on December 27, 1986, in Lubbock Texas. Kurt graduated Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas in 1986, then graduated from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in 1991. He went on to complete the Indiana University Oral Surgery residency program in 1995. Once Kurt completed his studies in oral surgery, he owned and operated Woodlands Oral Maxillofacial Surgery from 1995 to 2016. Doc retired and moved to South Carolina in 2016. Kurt loved the Lord and all that. He created. He was happiest being outdoors enjoying the activities he loved. Simple and complex are how most would describe him. Kurt lived every minute of his life to the fullest, with endless energy and passion for traveling in Europe and hiking in the alps of Switzerland. Doc played golf every day, enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading, a shared passion with many friends.
In addition to his loving wife of 38 years, Kurt is survived by two children: Troy Williams (Caroline) of Charleston, SC, and Courtney Bloomer (Ryan) of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons: Wesley Williams and Titus Bloomer; one brother: Lee Williams of Boise, Idaho.
