She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Franklin Hooper of Salem; her father William Cecil Merck; her sister Linda Faye Merck; her grandson Baby Boy Hooper; and her in-laws, William Carl and Mary Alice Hooper.
She is survived by: her mother Doris Virginia Smith; her children, Frankie Hooper, Robert Hooper (Candi), Carl Hooper, Jr. and Rhonda Morgan (Johnny); and her siblings, Matthew Merck (Missy) and Michelle Bryant (Jim). She is also survived by five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
