He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Douglas "Tank" Chavious; and his siblings, Permon Chavious, Priscilla Jackson, Mildred Chavis, Allmon Chavious, Paul Chavious, Oliver Chavious, Jr. and Wade Rodger Chavious.
He is survived by: his wife Heidi Brogan Chavious; his children, Floyd Douglas Chavious, Jr., Jerry Wayne Chavious, Timothy Vincent Chavious (Shelley) and Christina "Tina" Marie Chavious Edgemon (Ray); his grandson Michael Dean Chavious; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Brogan (Theresa) and Marie Jennings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
