She was predeceased by: her sons-in-law, Bobby Smith and Roger Yon; her grandson Addison Smith; her in-laws, James Earl Brown of Mikell Thomas, Mack Arthur Brown (Ruby), Emily Brown, Wayne Barr, Hal Millwood, Robert Smith, Howard Smith, Albert Smith, Carl Smith and Elizabeth "Sis" Driver; and her nephew Michael "Mike" Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Jon Wayne Smith; her daughters, Janet Lee Smith Yon, Robin Michelle Goss (Mark) and Andrea Carolyn Baker (Danny); her grandchildren, April B. Watkins, Courtney Glass (Taylor), Matthew Goss, Christen Elise Baker, Amanda Grace Baker and Megan Danielle Baker; her great grandchildren, McKenley Smith (Abby), Mendi Wise (Will), Cyndi Watkins, Lindi Watkins, Madison Glass, Luke Glass and Harper Ryleigh Glass; her great great grandchild Asher Wayne Smith; her siblings, O'Shield Brown, Jr., Judy Barr, Winston Brown (Peggy Autry) and Carol Millwood; her sister-in-law Mavis Brown; and her nieces and nephews, Gloria Jean, Jon Wayne, Charlotte Kross, Karla Jackson, Steve Smith and Larry Smith (Lorna). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Salley Baptist Fellowship Hall (206 Pine St NW, Salley, SC 29137). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Salley Baptist Church (206 Pine St NW, Salley, SC 29137).

In lieu of flowers, memorial in Gloria Jean's honor may be made to Salley Baptist Church.
