She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Porter and Fannie Lee Edwards; her spouse Cecil Eugene Forrest, Sr.; her daughter Janet Forrest Coleman; and her siblings, Lewis Edward Porter, Thomas Richard Porter, James Everett Porter, William Ronald Porter, Alice Rebecca Waters and Willie Ruth Langford.

She is survived by: her son Cecil Eugene Forrest, Jr. (Stephanie) of Johnston; her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Clamp of Saluda and George Donald Porter of Saluda; and her grandchildren, Jessica Coleman, Porter Coleman, Forrest Coleman, Cecil Eugene Forrest, III (Jillian) and Whitney Forrest Berry (Josh). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
