He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Lee Burton, Sr. and Ollie Smith Burton; and his siblings, Benjamin Burton, Bennie Lee Burton, Jr., Mary Enna Glover, Louise McKinney, Alberta Carson and Lizzie Young.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Stevens Burton; his children, James C. Burton of Norfork, VA, Alexander Burton (April) of Irmo, SC, Michael Burton (Sherry) of Saluda, SC, Janet Fant (Samuel) of Irmo, SC, Melody Williams and Janie Wright of North Augusta, SC; and his siblings, Curtis Burton (Alberta), Bishop Henry Lee Burton (Ruby) of Saluda, SC, Dorothy Dobbs of Saluda, SC and Flora Staine of Johnston, SC. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
