It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Heyward Hawkins of Saluda, South Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Martha Helen Griffith Hawkins and Shirley Jean Rushton Hawkins; his wife Shirley Jean Rushton Hawkins of Saluda; his daughter Cynthia Kay Hawkins Price (Greg) of Saluda; his grandchildren, Hunter Price (Kristin) of Saluda, Madison Hawkins Price of Charleston and Thomas James "TJ" Price of Saluda; his great grandchildren, Leigh Price and Jeb Price; and his siblings, William Hayne Hawkins (Linda) of Simpsonville and Jean Hawkins Kirkland. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

The family asks that all who attend to please wear masks.

Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, Cemetery Fund, 340 Hickory Grove Road, Saluda, SC 29138.
