He was predeceased by: his parents, John Costa Rita, Sr. and Otilla Figueroa Rita; and his son Antone "Tony" Costa Rita. He is survived by: his wife Lou Rita; his children, John Ransom "Randy" Rita (Angie) of Saluda and Cynthia "Cyndi" Ann Rita of Saluda; his grandchildren, Jonathan Colbey Rita of Saluda, Zachary Rita (Cary) of Anderson, LaLoni Ashley Rita Cothran (Christian) of Greenwood and Lakin Virginia Rita of Saluda; his great grandchildren, Alani Skyla Mae Boyce and Caroline Rita; and his sisters, Elizabeth Rita Vance of Beaufort and Mary Jane Schmidt of Saluda.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 1486 Hickory Grv Rd, Saluda, SC 29138. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Trinity Cemetery (430 Trinity Rd, Saluda, SC 29138).
