He is survived by: his wife Willie Pearl Pugh; his children, Robert Lester Smith, Willie James Smith, Shirley Lee Smith, Debbie Jean Smith King, Sarah Lacy, Sandra Lorraine Jenkins, Jessie Mae Nicholson, Rosezena Nicholson, Joyce Smith Crowder, Sanella Smith, Sheila BonaVenture, Shawlette Smith, Timothy Lorick and Chiquita Lorick; his brothers, James Coleman Smith, Willie Nicholson, Jessie Gene Nicholson and Bennie Jones (Sheryl); and his close friend Mary Ann Lorick. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
