We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2025, at the age of 55, Wayne Matthews of Saluda, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Proctor Autry; and his grandparents, Shelton and May Watson Proctor. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Wood Matthews; his children, Dylan Wayne Matthews and Caroline DuBose; his sister-in-law Lisa Wood Thompson (David); his nephew Stuart Thompson (Britney); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Addison and Annie; his nephew Derek Thompson (Lindsey); his great-nephew Tyler; River Guy.
