He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Chapman and Eva Cockrell Chapman; his wife Martha Nell Wells Chapman; his sons, George Allen "Pudge" Chapman and Timothy Jacob Chapman; and his siblings, Meredith "Mert" Chapman, Sam "Bull" Chapman, Dave Chapman, Donald "Scorp" Chapman, Mosey Lee Cameron, Ella Louise Adams and Sue Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Chapman (Alice) of Leesville and Kim Harmstad (Cliff) of Simpsonville; and his daughter-in-law Susan Chapman of Little Mountain. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saluda Baptist Church (112 W Wheeler Cir, Saluda, SC 29138). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
