He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Merchant Padget, Sr. and Milwee McGee Padget Ouzts; his stepfather Barney Ouzts; and his sister-in-law Celia Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Gardner Padget; his daughters, Jamie Butler (Dean) of Ninety Six and MeriAn Chomic (Nicholas); his sister JoAnn Renard (Jeff) of Manassas, VA; his siblings-in-law, Charles Gardner of Saluda and Donna Rushton (Kenneth) of Saluda; and his grandchildren, Jordan Butler (Joseph Johnson), AnaBelle Chomic and William Chomic.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Travis Park Cemetery (300 Travis Ave, Saluda, SC 29138).
