He was predeceased by: his father Edgar Leon Gartman; and his sister Lois Lee. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary R. Gartman; his mother Virginia Williams Gartman; his children, Kimberly Cross (Montey) of Cordova, Candice Gartman of Vance and Bryan Matthew Gartman of Santee; his sisters, Linda Dianne Gartman of Orangeburg, Charlene Lee of Lexington and Shirley Ann Chavis (Allen) of Orange Park, FL; his grandchildren, Brian, Levi, Lydia, Samirea, Jordyn, Isabella, Adam, Eljah and Luke; and his great grandchild Ah'Lanii. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
